It all started when…

I was working as a polisher and hot coater in a couple of surfboard factories.

When it came to shaping, I was shown how to complete one board. From board number two onward, I was on my own. It was trial by fire — blood, sweat, and tears — but that experience forced me to truly understand every curve, rail, and contour.

Through those early years, I learned the many different aspects of surfboard design — not only what you want in a surfboard, but just as importantly, what you don’t want. Every mistake became a lesson. Every board became a step forward.

Over time, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some of the best surfers and surfboard factories from Hawaii, Japan, and Europe. Those collaborations elevated my shaping, refined my design approach, and strengthened the communication between surfer and shaper — all essential elements in creating high-performance boards tailored to each individual.

These boards have since been tested all around the globe, in a wide range of conditions — from surf trips to competitions like the World Qualifying Series.
